About
Infinilux
Infinilux
is bases in Rancho Domiguez, California with call centers in Colorado
and Yeadon Leeds, UK as well as manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and
Mainland China. Infinilux's primary mission is to create energy efficient
Solid State Lamps that will replace costly inefficient incandescent lamps.
The leadership team has over 50 years combined experience in the LED indication
and lighting industries and holds multiple patents in the use and transfer
of LED output.
Infinilux
believes that the proper applications of SSL technologies are making innovative
strides that will forever alter the way we banish the darkness, decorate
our public spaces and create comfortable human environments and life-spaces.
The implications are staggering. Longer life, lower energy consumption
and a viable environmentally friendly alternative to the light bulb is
here and the worldwide acceptance is on the near horizon.
Infinilux
is a committed global citizen determined to create innovative solutions
to the worlds energy crisis through the application of these technologies.

Quality
Control and RoHS Compliance
Infinilux is committed to providing the best possible
quality at our price point available industry wide. We stand behind what
we make to give you piece of mind and ensure that your products and projects
that employee Infinilux components will last well into the future. Our
raw components under go rigorous lot testing
that results in entire lots being scrapped if even one device fails our
testing procedures. Infinilux only uses RoHS compliant and compatible
components to ease your compliance documentation process and frankly,
because it is the right thing to do. All Infinilux
products have been RoHS compliant from day one.
Why
Solid State Light (SSL) Sources?
Energy
Efficiency
SSL
Light Sources offer increased efficiency over traditional incandescent
bulbs. When comparing white light, SSLs offer more 200% better efficiency.
Red (620-635nm), green (520-535nm), and blue (460-475nm) light sources,
SSLs are 10 times more efficient. Lifetime
is estimated at up to 50,000 hours (Red, Green and Blue). When powered
continuously, a SSL can operate for more than five years! When powered
for
a typical fours hours per day, a SSL will provide a service life in excess
of 30 years. The U.S. Department of Energy hopes to reduce the electricity
used for lighting by 50% by converting to LED based SSL sources.
Efficiency
Benefits
According to well documented studies sited by the Efficieny Partnership,
the energy savings potential of LEDs is demonstrated as follows: by replacing
a red incandescent traffic signal head with a red LED unit cuts energy
use by an estimated 82 to 93%. The use of LED traffic signals in cities
can save 1 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy and nearly $70,000
a year for every 100 signaled intersections replaced. The payback period
is approximately two-and-a-half to three years through energy savings
alone.
There
are 100 million exit signs in the United States containing incandescent
lamps that consume a total of 20 billion kWh of electricity per year.
LED lighting could save approximately three-quarters of this energy.
By purchasing 1,000 exit signs for an initial investment of $30,000, a
state government could save a net $455,562 over the products’ lifetime.
The new signs would pay for themselves in six months.
LEDs
can replace neon, offering an 80% electricity efficiency improvement.
The
benefits of LED lighting technology go far beyond reducing electricity
consumption. Even with a higher initial investment, dollar savings
and quality improvements significantly outweigh costs. LED technology's
numerous benefits also include: Long life and reduced maintenance cost,
High quality light output, Increased safety as a result of LED's lower
voltage, Smaller, flexible light fixtures Increased durability (no filament
to break).
Rugged
and Dependable
SSL Light Sources are rugged, solid state devices and do not rely upon
a delicate burring filament or excited inert gas to produce light. SSLs
are not susceptible to vibration, as incandescent filaments are. Infinilux’s
SSL lamps and light engines are assembled into rugged packages, fashioned
of anodized aluminum castings and high quality extrusions. The lamps can
tolerate far more abuse than glass and filament style light bulbs.
Reliable
Color
SSL
Light Sources from Infinilux are produced using Cree XLamp® LED Technologies
in Red, Green, Blue and Amber base colors. When a color lamp is require
SSLs are 10 times more efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs,
which rely on filters to only let a small percentage of the full spectrum
of white light through. SSLs emit light in the specific color or wavelength
required. SSLs output can be mixed to produce a limitless palette of colors.
Lower
Temperature Operation
SSLs
are based on traditional semiconductor technologies and they can operate
far cooler than incandescent or halogen bulbs. While a properly functioning
SSL can be warm to the touch, the temperature range is far below the danger
zone where one can be burned. This greatly increases the safety of the
light over incandescent and halogen light sources.
